About the event

Course Description: 4 teaching modules (3 on Zoom, 1 in Crosscare), 4 photo walks.

Includes using camera settings, and creative photography. To be given by Eamon O'Daly of Outdoor Studio, Skerries for An Oige Photo. More detail to follow. 

Course Timing/#Students: 1 teaching module + 1 photo walk per month. Min: 10 Max: 15.

Cost: €120

Course Booking: Send email by 7th Oct to anoigephoto@gmail.com to reserve a place. First 15

received will get preference. 10 students are required for course to go ahead. Confirmation and

deposit to follow before the 23rd Oct.

Provisional Dates:

  • Module 1 – Zoom – Wednesday 17th January and Photowalk Saturday morning 20th January.
  • Module 2 – Zoom – Wednesday 14th February and Photowalk Saturday morning 17th February.
  • Module 3 – Zoom – Wednesday 20th March and Photowalk Saturday morning 23rd March.
  • Module 4 – Presentation in Crosscare followed by Photowalk – Saturday morning/afternoon 13th April.

Description of Modules witten by Eamon O'Daly:

The modules are ideal for anybody learning their camera or who wishes to have a good refresher through their camera setup and operating modes.

Module 1 - Camera Settings and Modes - followed by Photo walk.

This module will bring you through all of the main camera setups of Exposure, ISO, White Balance/Colour, and Focussing Types.

Module 2 - Aperture Priority Mode - followed by Photo walk.

This module will concentrate on Depth of Field and will relate in particular to Landscape/Seascape/Cityscape Photography.

Module 3 - Shutter Speed Priority - followed by Photo walk.

This module will bring you through Shutter Speeds and will relate in particular to both Action and Wildlife Photography.

Module 4 - Creative Photography - followed by Photo walk.

This module builds on combining the previous module's experience with developing your creative eye.
